Dennis Wisdom

Dennis Wisdom brings 28 years of technical and management experience to Network Lubbock. Dennis promotes a client centered philosophy focusing on bringing innovative, cost effective solutions to Network Lubbock’s diverse client base. Prior to joining Network Lubbock he held top management positions at several public and private sector entities, where he was a “change catalyst” promoting new paradigms to bring value to the entities’ stakeholders. Dennis has extensive experience delivering tech nology solutions – strategic planning, budgeting, network feasibility studies, systems design, engineering, programming and integration, procurement, contract negotiations and implementation. He has proven experience completing projects on short time schedules and within budget.

At Texas Tech University he was responsible for consultants, technical writers and technicians who were instrumental in maintaining optimal network connectivity for the user community. After heading the Academic and Research Computing Services department, he established the Texas Tech Network Services department, providing network services to the administrative, academic and research community. He oversaw the design, implementation and operation of all network and data security systems at Texas Tech University. As head of Information Technology for a $1.2 billion retail chain, he was responsible for a large staff of systems analysts, programmers and support staff who provided technology solutions to all corporate offices, stores and warehouses. Dennis was able to use information technology to save literally millions of dollars per year in operational costs to the chain.  Dennis served as Vice President and General Manager for Hicks and Ragland Engineering and CHR Solutions, overseeing the Datacom consulting group. He was directly involved in or directed the planning, design and implementation for a large number of technology projects including Local and Wide Area Networks, voice over IP telephony, video over IP, video over fiber, wireless voice, video and data, high speed Internet access via xDSL, fiber, wireless and cable TV.

Dennis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management, is involved in various community and church projects and is a graduate of Leadership Lubbock.

Jimmy Underwood

Mr. Underwood entered the telecommunications technology field in 1988 with Hicks & Ragland (H&R) Engineering.  While employed with H&R and its successor CHR Solutions he served as the Manager of Datacom System Design.  In this roll he oversaw the design and implementation of many diverse IT networks and systems ranging from small businesses to large corporate and government systems integrating elements from data, voice and video.  Mr. Underwood founded Network Lubbock, a company whose goal was to not only provide advanced telecommunications consulting services to its clients but to partner with its clients and develop sound economical strategic plans that looked at both the future of technology and the clients future goals.  His responsibilities include working with clients to assess needs and develop project goals and scopes, and then produce design documents including project specifications, opinions of probable cost, design schematics and schedules.  By working with clients from project inception thru construction and turn-up Network Lubbock is able to help assure that the clients’ expectations are documented and realized at all phases of a project.  Mr. Underwood has extensive experience in IT projects ranging from disaster recovery to system upgrades to new construction projects of all types and sizes.  His experience in this specialized field includes numerous DDESS projects on military bases from West Point to Guantanamo Bay.

Tom Lewis, P.E.

Tom Lewis serves as Vice President of Engineering at N-Com. Tom directs N-Com’s services in assisting service provider’s with their evaluation and deployment of telecommunications technologies. His responsibilities include new technology assessments, equipment specifications, RFP development, vendor analysis and negotiation, and oversight of equipment deployment. Tom has 14 years of telecommunications experience, including 7 years serving as Vice President – ; Network Engineering at CHR Solutions where he directed implementation projects involving class 4/5 switching, optical transport, NGDLCs, DSL, CATV, FTTP, and digital video/broadband systems. Tom is a presenter and speaker at state and national telecom association events, and has published articles on telecom technologies. Tom is a Licensed Professional Engineer and is a member of IEEE.

Rob Wilkinson

Rob Wilkinson, Vice President of Planning and Design for N-Com, is a West Texas native who has worked in the engineering consulting industry since 1991. He has been involved in the telecommunications industry for the past 11 years, primarily focused in the initial plans and designs of the various communications networks. Rob has been highly involved in preparing and directing telecommunication system designs, loan proposals and applications, cost analyses, engineering budgets , financial evaluations, and business plans for literally dozens of communication providers across the United States, including ILECs, CLECs, CATV providers, wireless providers, and high-capacity wholesale carriers. Rob’s greatest asset is his ability to understand the “big picture” and combine his technical background with a sound understanding of financials and engineering economics. This allows N-Com to not only provide quality design work, but also have the ability to support their design with the economical benefit of deploying and implementing their work.

Darrell Eubanks

Darrell Eubanks has been a professional in the computer field since 1981. He has taught computer and statistics classes at the college level, where later he developed and helped market software for oil and gas property and income management. Darrell then joined the IT department of an 830 bed hospital to work on the transition from a mainframe information system to one based on a client-server model. He remained at the hospital to help manage the IT portion of a merger with another hospital. He later moved to the local service group of the DataCom division as a manager at Hicks & Ragland Engineering and its successor CHR. In 2001 he joined Network Lubbock to service the computing needs of Lubbock area businesses.
Darrell is a server, workstation, and networking specialist. He has installed over a hundred Novell, Windows NT, 2000, and 2003 servers, thousands of workstations, and has designed network infrastructures ranging from a few computers to over a thousand.
Darrell holds Bachelors and Masters degrees and ABD for PhD in MIS

Cary Holmes

Cary Holmes brings a broad base of experience to Network Lubbock.  He has experience with Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), Novell servers, Microsoft Windows servers, Cisco routers, switches, Cisco Voice over IP, Hitachi ATM, and Redback routers as well as numerous vendors and technologies.  He is responsible for preparing designs and specifications for telecommunications projects and evaluation of new technologies and services.

Mr. Holmes served as a Senior Specialist at Hicks & Ragland Engineering and its successor CHR Solutions, where he was responsible for the design and implementation of ATM networks, gigabit Ethernet wide area networks, fiber optic networks and ISP implementation.  He designed and oversaw the implementation of LANs and WANs at a number of military bases including West Point, Quantico, Fort Knox and others.  While at Cogdell Memorial Hospital serving as the IT Supervisor, he was sensitive to the hospital IT needs and instrumental in helping the Hospital become HIPAA compliant.  While at Network Lubbock he has become heavily involved in the design and implementation of several Cisco based Voice over IP telephone systems and Cisco Call Manager Systems including systems at DDESS headquarters and Fort Bragg schools.

Cary holds various Cisco, BICSI and other industry certifications.

Bryan Hicks

Bryan has over 15 years of technology experience. He has worked with mainframes, x86 servers, and networks (wired and wireless). His involvement has included service, support, design, implementation, documentation and training. Bryan started out in the technology field providing simple PC repairs and builds. Leaving Lubbock behind in 1992 he went to Houston, TX continue his career development. By 1996 Bryan was managing a team that was responsible for providing design, implementation and support of IBM mainframe and server networks. It was during this time that Bryan developed expertise technical documentation.
Bryan then moved on to a consulting firm that developed technical documentation for many industries. The firm had a small presence at Compaq Computers. Bryan began to develop a larger presence by focusing on the high end ProLiant server line. With Bryan’s technical expertise and leadership, the Compaq account went from $800,000 to over $4 million dollars a year in sales.
Wanting to return to network design, Bryan moved to another consulting firm that provided network solutions to small and medium businesses. Bryan developed and implemented servers, routers, switches, wired and wireless environments. He worked together with clients to develop cost effective and efficient solutions that met their technical needs.
Bryan returns home to bring Network Lubbock a wealth of experience and knowledge. His current job is an account manager focusing on Microsoft domain structures and Cisco network environments.
Bryan has holds the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Associate, and the CompTIA Securtiy+ certifications. He is also a member of the Society for Technical Communicators.

Daniel Wisdom

Daniel Wisdom serves as the Cabling Construction Manager for Network Lubbock. Daniel has over 7 years of infrastructure construction and has recently been working in the design of large scale cabling projects. Daniel joined Network Lubbock in 2001 and has been involved in numerous large scale cabling projects. While at Network Lubbock Daniel has worked on many small cabling projects as well as overseeing cabling construction at a new Lubbock school and a number of large apartment complexes. During the past two years he oversaw the cabling construction at large projects at Ft. Bragg, N.C., Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama and Ft. Stewart, GA. Daniel is a certified cable installer and has experience with CAT5e, CAT6, RF coax, Fiber, VoIP and digital telephone systems.

Danny Compton

Daniel “Danny” Compton has been involved in telecommunications for over ten years. While employed with Hicks & Ragland (H&R) Engineering and its successor CHR Solutions, he assisted with implementation of Central Office equipment and performed maintenance and installation of office PBX equipment along with assistance of office LAN systems. Mr. Compton has vast experience in writing plans and specifications (P&S) for various Central Office equipment, including DC power, Class 4 and 5 switching and DLC equipment. He also knows how to troubleshoot and repair Special Circuit including T1 installation and has been involved with helping with many Backbone Ethernet Network configurations.

While working at Network Lubbock, he has become the leader in working with System Design and implementing of Class 5 Central Office equipment and traditional PBX equipment. Through his guidance, his recent projects includes the design, installation of a Class 5 Central Office integrations to Cisco IP PBX network involving eight building connected via Fiber Optic cable and ATM WAN. Plus a Cisco IP PBX design and implantation for 600 station system involving nine different schools connected via Fiber Optic cable WAN.

Mr. Compton’s current job responsibilities not only involve writing P&S for Class 4 and Class 5 Softswitch and the provisioning and translation for Central Office equipment, he also helps with LAN operations for small and large business and the design and implantation of Cisco VoIP PBX equipment and network equipment. Mr. Compton has an Associates of Applied Science in Telecommunications.

Milan Todorović

Born and raised in Serbia, Milan Todorović joined Network Lubbock in the spring of 2006.  He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Computer Information Systems from Lubbock Christian University (2003), and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Texas Tech University (2005).  The primary field of his research is wireless communications, with the particular focus on efficiency of TCP protocols in wireless networks.  Other research interests of Milan include transport protocol design, distributed file systems and grid computing.  Outside of academia, he has worked as a software developer, where he designed and developed application systems primarily in .NET and C/C++ languages.

Milan brings four years of Commercial Software Development experience to Network Lubbock.

Andrew Harris

Andrew “Andy” Harris joined Hicks & Ragland (H&R) Engineering in 1990 while obtaining his college education.  While employed with H&R and its successor CHR Solutions, he continued to move up in the company, beginning as a CAD Draftsman, continuing on to a GIS technician and then progressing to his final position of CAD Supervisor, where he was responsible for eight CAD and GIS technicians.  Over the 12 years at CHR Solutions, Mr. Harris helped develop countless numbers of tools to better enhance the conversion from paper maps to GIS database driven maps.  While at CHR Solutions he helped produce the Texas Telephone Association map showing the different telephone companies on one map for the state of Texas.  He has also been directly involved in over a dozen paper to CAD/GIS conversions.

Before beginning his current job at Network Lubbock, he worked at Poka Lambro Telephone Cooperative, where he converted years worth of maps and staking sheet information into CAD maps.  While at PLTC, he also prepared CLEC designs for a number of small towns around the PLTC serving area.  Mr. Harris also completed a FTTP design which is currently being constructed for the city of Post, Texas.  Other projects included developing an Internet Access database for storing, sharing, and modifying a database.  This project also included the ability to view CAD drawings in a web browser.  He also helped organize and implement the “customer service support software” by gathering all customer service documents from six different groups into one software package.

Andy’s current job position at Network Lubbock of Senior Specialist holds the responsibilities of overseeing all CAD projects, FTTP design and help with any web design.  Mr. Harris has an Associates of Applied Science degree and is proficient in Apple products.
